A website built around why your business exists
Your story, standards, goals, and point of difference—designed into every page.
Custom web design + a client-owned operating system
Half of what we build is a front-end website shaped around your business—why you started, who you are, what you are trying to achieve, and what makes you different. The other half is the operating system for quoting, scheduling, dispatch, invoicing and customer service, employee time, quoted-versus-spent labor and project performance, and real operational insight—with a privacy-separated AI assistant. Personal and customer-identifying details stay out of model prompts; only the minimum approved operational context is used so answers stay useful without oversharing. Together they are one complete suite that becomes yours under the payment option you choose.
Your story, standards, goals, and point of difference—designed into every page.
Your information, voice, imagery, and customer journey. Never a dressed-up template.
Quotes, schedules, dispatch, hours, invoices, performance, and the customer portal stay together—with a privacy-separated AI assistant on approved operational context.
Your public story before they hire you. Their private project details after they do.
You own the custom website and business assets you commission, and keep permanent delivered-system use rights after the purchase path you choose. ShopReady retains proprietary platform and backend IP.
01 · Before the day starts
Three people texted you before six. A customer wants to know why nobody showed up. There’s a quote you’ve meant to send for nine days. The schedule is in your head, the receipts are in the truck, and the only person who knows what’s happening on the Alvarez job is you.
Most software fixes one piece or rents you a system you will never own. Most web shops hand you a polished brochure disconnected from the work. We build both halves as one.
02 · One connected operation
From the first inquiry to the final invoice, every part of a job sits in one system—and the office, the field, and the customer each see the slice that belongs to them. Built for service businesses: service-only, service plus materials, shop work, field work, or both.
A custom public site shaped in delivery (In the build as the service). Productized local SEO listings and discovery tools are On the map.
A company schedule and a plan for each job, built around availability, qualifications, commitments, and handoffs. — Live
Jobsites, crews, hours, materials, expenses, photos, drawings, and punch lists from the phone already in their hand. — Live for staff paths
Estimates, invoices, payments, and records. Accounting CSV export — Live. Live QuickBooks/Xero sync and optional merch storefront — On the map. ShopReady is not bookkeeping or general-ledger software.
Private portal communication, feedback, issues, and approved facts — Live. Fact-based after-hours answers — Live. Customer photo upload and model-backed AI triage — On the map / In the build.
You own your custom public website, content, domain, data, and accounts as agreed, and receive permanent delivered-system use rights after purchase completion. ShopReady retains proprietary platform and backend IP. No continuing software-license payment after ownership handoff; hosting and third-party costs can remain.
03 · Built for the field
Individual logins and role-appropriate views for crew, managers, and owners. Where they’re going, what time, what’s needed on the truck, who else is on site, and what the customer already agreed to. No group texts. No six a.m. phone tree.
04 · The customer’s side
Every customer gets a private page for their project: dates, approved photos, invoices, balances, and the arrival window for the crew coming Thursday.
Fewer phone calls and better service, at the same time. Most software makes you choose one.
05 · After hours
Routine questions can be answered from approved project facts you already made visible—the schedule, accepted scope, and decisions on record. Nothing is invented or promised on your behalf. (Live for fact-based answers. A fuller privacy-filtered model assistant is In the build, default-off.)
Anything that needs a person is escalated for human follow-up. Staff see open cases in one queue with tools to answer and schedule the next step. (Live as a service queue. A dedicated morning digest is In the build.)
Nobody sets out to give bad service. They just run out of hours. This is about giving the hours back.
06 · Capacity
See how far out you are committed, which work cannot yet be staffed, and where demand is outrunning the team. — Live
Set a protected capacity buffer—your own percentage held back for overruns, urgent fixes, unscheduled work, shop and truck cleanup, organization, and the quiet improvements that make next year stronger. — On the map
And when a week goes smoothly, that is the week you get back: reorganise the trailer, re-inventory the bins, and get the truck right—the work that quietly decides whether next year is bigger. — On the map (practice, not a product button)
07 · Breadth without the catalog dump
Eight outcome groups—from winning work to portfolio control—map to real Works menus. Open the feature explorer when you want progressive detail without turning this page into a product manual.
Explore featuresLifecycle pipeline, estimates, change orders, company schedule, and project handoffs.
My Day, time, jobsites, and hubs—role-stripped for crew, rich enough for managers.
Invoices, job cost honesty, expenses, portal facts, and staff publishing—with sandbox boundaries called out.
Quality, partners, workforce, inbox, portfolio exceptions, approvals, modules, and theme.
08 · Product proof
Design demos and real product screenshots are open now—layout, branding, and the shape of the screens. (Live as design proof.)
A guided walkthrough of a full working install—write a quote, schedule a crew, clock time, issue an invoice, then see the customer’s side of the same job—is On the map. We will not claim a clickable product demo until that walkthrough is ready. The public design demos stay free anytime; no sales call and no card required to look.

09 · How we work together
You are not buying a black-box package off a pricing table. You send groundwork, we hold an appropriately long one-on-one discovery, then you receive a written build plan covering scope and timeline. Only if both sides want to continue do you approve and pay the deposit—then comes the working build, demo, and refinements inside the agreed scope.
Tell us how the work runs today: crew size, the jobs that hurt, what customers see, and what you want the system to carry. Photos, rough notes, and incomplete thoughts are fine.
A disclosed assistant may tidy your intake and ask useful follow-ups so the conversation is sharper. It does not replace Jay, set price, or make business decisions. (On the map for model-backed intake; local draft help exists today.)
Before any payment, Jay holds a dedicated phone or video discovery—long enough to understand the business properly, not forced into a preset time box. You choose the channel. That conversation is the relationship—not a sales script.
If a recording would help capture detail, Jay asks up front. You can decline and continue without being recorded. No silent recording.
You receive a written build plan covering scope and timeline. If both sides want to continue, you approve and pay a $598 non-refundable deposit. It is credited toward Pay in full ($4,999 total; $4,401 remaining) or starts the Pay over time path—never unlimited free revisions outside the agreed plan.
Build progress is visible to you with two-way questions as work proceeds. You review a working demo, refine within the agreed scope, then choose final payment or the agreed monthly path. Ownership and permanent delivered-system use rights hand off when the chosen plan is complete. The public product demo stays free and separate anytime.
The public product demo is free anytime. The $598 deposit is only for a custom build path designed around your business after discovery.
Start the inquiry10 · Built from the shop outward
I’m Jay Patukonis—a cabinetmaker with more than 30 years in the trades and 23 years as a self-employed shop owner. I have the calluses to prove it. I also have the bad back. I know what thin margins feel like, what a missed callback costs, and how quickly a good crew day turns into chaos when the schedule lives in three phones and a notebook.
Some tradespeople are completely at home with CAD, CNC, phones, and new technology. Others are exceptional at their trade but would rather not wrestle with software after a long day on the tools. ShopReady is built for both: an interface that makes sense from the first use, with practical tools that make the business easier to run regardless of technical experience.
I like to listen first, seed a few ideas, then go back and forth until the solution fits how you actually work. I’m happiest MacGyvering practical, slightly quirky fixes that stick—so the solution feels like yours, not something dropped onto you.
At this stage of my career, I’m more interested in putting those decades to work for other owners than proving I can still carry another cabinet up a flight of stairs. I combine trade experience and technical expertise to deliver a professional website and connected business tools as one carefully tailored package—with the time, attention to detail, and personal involvement your business deserves. The goal is a fair price that can be less than a professionally developed website alone would normally cost.
This is not a one-and-done website I’m trying to rush out the door. I want to understand your business, build something that genuinely helps its day-to-day operation, and remain an asset as it grows. The standard is simple: I want your investment in ShopReady to become one of the best decisions you have made for your business.
11 · What you own
ShopReady is one full suite—a custom website plus the core operating system, with features you can turn on or off as your business needs them. Ownership and permanent delivered-system use rights apply the same way whether you pay in full or pay over time: after purchase completion under the written path, you keep running what was delivered without a continuing software-license payment to ShopReady. You own your custom public website, content, domain, data, and accounts as agreed. ShopReady retains proprietary platform and backend intellectual property—you are not buying ShopReady’s source or platform IP. Hosting and third-party costs can remain. Optional Care is available afterward; it is never required to keep a system you own running.
Once ownership handoff is complete, ending your relationship with ShopReady does not switch off what you own. During a build-to-own term, you have full productive use while your account remains current under the written agreement.
What Care does—and does not—cover12 · Transparent value
A standard project is a polished, modern, state-of-the-art custom informational website shaped to your business—with custom visuals and graphic treatment, a contact and lead path, appropriate legal and terms pages, a customer portal, the core operating system, and an optional merch storefront. Extra custom pricing applies only when scope is genuinely business-specific above that normal package—bespoke widgets, unusual backend workflow, or specialized external connectivity—always under written scope before commitment.
Free public demo anytime. Free discovery before any payment. Numbers above are the standard suite; genuinely custom scope is quoted separately in writing.
